UAE E-Invoicing

The UAE e-invoicing mandate is coming in phases. Learn what it means for your business, how to get ready, and how to choose an Accredited Service Provider (ASP).

The UAE is introducing mandatory e-invoicing in phases, moving businesses from PDF invoices to structured invoices exchanged through a government-accredited Peppol network. It is backed by Federal Decree-Law 16 of 2024 and Ministerial Decisions 243 and 244 of 2025. For the complete walkthrough, read our Complete UAE E-Invoicing Guide.

When does e-invoicing start?

  • 1 July 2026 — voluntary pilot opens.
  • 30 October 2026 — businesses with revenue of AED 50m+ must appoint an Accredited Service Provider (ASP).
  • 1 January 2027 — mandatory go-live for businesses with revenue of AED 50m+.
  • 1 July 2027 — go-live for smaller businesses.

The Peppol 5-corner model and ASPs

You only ever connect to your own ASP, which validates your invoice, converts it to the PINT AE format, transmits it to the buyer’s ASP, and reports the tax data to the FTA in parallel. Using an accredited provider is mandatory — you cannot self-transmit. Learn how it works in the full guide.

Are you ready?

Check your phase and readiness with the free e-invoicing readiness tool, and see how e-invoicing connects to your VAT and Corporate Tax obligations. Penalties for non-compliance start at AED 5,000 per month — details in the Deadlines & Penalties hub.

We get your business e-invoicing-ready end to end: confirming your phase, cleaning your data, and onboarding the right accredited provider. Set free reminders for your key dates on the reminders page.
